Who "Makes Up" Face Makers
The co-owners, Jennifer and Leanny, are long-time friends and employees of Facemakers. Together they sought to bring a new "face" to this landmark beauty supply store which has graced Shrewsbury, MA with its presence for over 27 years. The grand re-opening brought with it a Spa Room featuring Bioelements™ skin treatments and Murad™ signature facials. Leanny also provides the clientele with numerous options for body and face waxing.
Jennifer Hill
Jennifer came to Facemakers in December 2000 as a part-time sales clerk. With a background in Customer Service and finance she felt it would make a “fun part-time job”. Her love of the beauty industry (and the store itself) quickly bloomed and before long she was the full-time General Manager of three stores (White City, Tatnuck Square in Worcester, and Route 140 in Milford). Working hands-on with make-up educators from various cosmetic companies Jennifer has earned certificates in Bridal and Formal make-up application, Foundation blending, and everyday make-up application. In September 2007, along with friend and business partner Leanny Cantiani, Jennifer took part-ownership of Facemakers.
Leanny Cantiani
Leanny began working for Facemakers part-time at the Tatnuck Square store while she finished her Cosmetology training and obtained her license. With hands-on experience in hairdressing, nail care and make-up application, Leanny felt a need to broaden her knowledge into retail. She changed direction in her career and began working full-time as the Assistant Manager in the White City store. Once the ownership of Facemakers was completely in the hands of Leanny and Jennifer, she decided to take her cosmetology license one step further and obtain certification in facial treatments through Bioelements skin care. The Facemakers Spa Room opened in December 2007 and continues to grow each day.
